The Laundry Room was a poetic attempt to capture the daily routine of the iconic and most used common room at Lowry House. This DIY micro edition, was developed with the residents, collecting anecdotes, sketching situations, trying not to dwell too much on the conflicts that have been spiralling out of control in this sweat lodge for centuries.

Un morceau de choix:

In the laundry-room today
I met a women bright and gay.
Free as a wildflowers
We’ll meet next week
At the precise same time
And her clothes will tomble
Wet with mine.
