Le grand nettoyage

This is the first ever project we did at El Warcha, cleaning the streets and making prototypes of public bins for our neighborhood. In a context where the municipality doesn’t have the resources to carry on the daily cleaning of the streets in becomes a common interest to share responsibility. We had nearly one hundred people helping us, mostly children from the neighborhood. A few of the prototypes we made are still standing and have been taken on by local businesses.

Il s'agit du premier projet réalisé à El Warcha, qui consiste à nettoyer les rues et à créer des prototypes de poubelles publiques pour notre quartier. Dans un contexte où la municipalité ne dispose pas des ressources nécessaires pour effectuer le nettoyage quotidien des rues, il est de l’intérêt commun de partager les responsabilités. Près d'une centaine de personnes, en particulier des enfants, ont participé à cet exercice. Même s’il s’agissait d’un événement ponctuel, quelques-uns des prototypes que nous avons fabriqués subsistent et ont été repris par des commerçants du quartier.
